    Technostress Creators and Employee’s Well-Being at a Telecommunication Company in Sarawak, Malaysia

    There are many benefits of technology in the workplace, such as an increase in productivity and knowledge acquisition. However, technological advancement in the workplace may cause technostress. The term technostress refers to the negative psychological relationship between people and adopting new technologies. Technostress occurs when people cannot adequately adapt to or interact with information technologies. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between five technostress creators, namely, techno-overload, techno-invasions, techno-complexity, techno-insecurity, and techno-uncertainty towards employee well-being at one Telecommunication Company in Sarawak, Malaysia. The respondents of this cross-sectional quantitative study were 141 individual employees. Data were collected using convenience sampling by utilizing a Google form that was distributed to all populations under the study. The findings of this research indicate a strong relationship between all technostress creators and the well-being of employees. Thus, this research adds to the knowledge of the relationships between technostress creators and employees’ well-being in the workplace. Since the research found that the most prevailing independent variable in this research study is techno-invasion, thus, this research recommended that the company provide guidelines on ICTs use outside of work and take action to limit such work-related interruptions

    Supervisor Feedback, Ergonomics and Job Performance: A Study at One of Malaysia's Frontline Government Agency

    A well-managed organization usually sees an average worker as the root source of quality and productivity gains. Such organizations do not look to capital investment, but to employees, as the fundamental source of improvement. Therefore, in order to increase employee performance, many factors such as supervisor feedback and ergonomics are very important especially for organization that involves frontline staffs who has to entertain customers all the time. Hence, this study focuses on effect of supervisor feedback and ergonomics towards job performance among employees at one of Malaysia's frontline government agency. The study was quantitatively conducted using standardized questionnaires that was participated by 82 respondents. The results showed that supervisor feedback and ergonomic were significantly and positively impacted job performance. Thus, this study provides references to academics and practitioners on the effectiveness of giving quality feedback and good ergonomically working conditions towards improving performance of frontline staffs.     Workplace environment plays a major role towards the employees’ performance since job performance is important as it plays a major role in determining the productivity of the organization itself. For the older the worker of aging adult worker, this group are more concern on ergonomics issues and needed to be see to ensure the continuity of excellent performance and productivity of the company. Thus, this research explores how the workplace ergonomics affect job performance among aging workforce. Previous studies focused on ergonomics among workers but not specific towards aging workforce. This study aims on how to increase or maintain older workers’ job performance by providing better workplace ergonomics and proposed a conceptual framework of the factors of ergonomics workplace for aging workforce
